The Game Is Set!!!

Cigar Lovers. Good conference action today. The Packers kicked Chi-town in the teeth, at home and The Steelers  laid the smack down on The Jets. (who I think "choked") Meanwhile, enjoyed the day, the games while pulling on a Monticristo Media Noche provided by my man Rich who I met for the first time today. He and his lovely wife who made this excellent dip, dropped by to watch the game, eat and be merry. The Noche was a good medium bodied smoke that started off rather mild and easy but hyped up its intensity just beyond half way and towards the end. The drag on the Noche was very tight with a punch. Found it difficult get a full dose of flavor so I cut it, allowing the full flavor to pull through. The Noche was a fast stick, about 25 min. Just long enough to grill some sliders. Unfortunately, I was not able to pair this with anything today. Maybe next time. Once again, another Good day, Good eats, Good friends, Good smoke.

Football at Charlies

Spent the afternoon at Charlies Tobacco Outlet on Johnston Rd. watching the games, playing dominoes and smoking a Camacho Triple Maduro. In the spot were my man Willis with his brother Adam. Robert and his lovely wife Lynnette who hooked us up with her delicious brew of  Cafe Cubana that paired excellently with the Camacho. Also in the spot were Zach (nice to meet you man), Vinnie (as in my cousin), Poker champ Pat (sorry you missed the pizza) and the man himself... Bernie who never disappoints. Its always good to you. Thanks for the free Romeo and Juliet. Look forward to trying it.

Lite Up Charlotte

On Saturday, October 2nd, I attended Lite Up Charlotte! the region's largest cigar event benefiting The Bloom Project: Believing Lives of Orphans Matter. Hosted by Outland Cigar Club in Ballantyne Commons, Lite Up Charlotte was represented by some of the best names in cigars from around the world. Guest of the event received cigars from manufactures like Gurkha, Alec Bradley, Don Pepin Garcia and Pinar Del Rio just to name a few. Guest were also treated with some of the finest cuisine that Charlotte has to offer. Newks, Villa Antonio, Extreme Pita, Kilwins Chocolates. Bottom less draft of Stella Artois, Shock Top, and Landshark were provided by Anheuser Busch. It was a beautiful sunny day. The Event was lively as guest sampled their gifts, eat and all was merry. Some of the "Who's who" included Zev from Camacho Cigars,  Rafael Nodal Sr. of Oliveros Cigars and Will Cooper of Cigar Coop to name a few. Good Times, Good Smoke.
